Welcome to the Shelley Dobson School of Dance
website. We are a children’s dance school who teach and train
children from a young age. We aim to enrich the lives of all who
take part so they can learn to a high standard. We believe an
important part of the dance school experience is to build
confidence, make friends and
have fun. We are registered with the UKA
(UK Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing and Kindred Arts,
registration number 05931)
The school has been established since 1999. The classes are
held at Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence and St. Martins
Family centre. All teachers are qualified Members of the UKA and CRB
checked. We offer dance classes for all ages and abilities.

Please note, taking part in Dancing School events is optional. This
is a rough guide to the year and dates are subject to change.
Some Dancing Rules

Dance
shoes or trainers must be worn during all classes, no bare feet.

Please inform the Principal or your class
teacher if you are going to be missing from class.

No spectators during lessons
-
No chewing gum in the studio
-
Hair tied back and no jewellery during
classes
-
Toilets – Uni-Teds are escorted to the
toilet by a volunteer at the school.

Older children will be sent in ‘two’s’
(parents are welcome to stay on the premises and be contacted to
escort their own child to the toilets)
